Downeast Health’s WIC program works to maintain the health of women, infants, & children up to age 5 by providing information on eating well and vouchers for healthy foods.
At your first WIC appointment, whether you’re pregnant or a parent (mom or dad) with young children, you’ll meet the staff and learn about the various services available to you—from breastfeeding support, free children’s books at each WIC visit, to food vouchers that can be used at your local grocery store to buy milk, juice, eggs, cheese, fruits and vegetables, as well as infant formula and baby food.
